T206 - back with two factory numbers

Sorry for poor picture ...



Just wondering how its possible to get two different factory numbers on the same back. Top line reads "FACTORY No. 30, 2d DIST. N.Y." and the bottom line reads "FACTORY No. 42, 4TH DIST. N.C."

I'm not familiar with the printing process so I thought it was neat to see two different stamps on the back.

The card you have shown is a factory overprint. The original factory information was supposed to be covered up and only the new factory information was supposed to show. However the overprint was off during the printing process of your card allowing both factory numbers to show. It was supposed to look like the card shown below.

I also have one like Tim's card. Notice that they are all 350-460 subjects. I'm sure there is a reason for that also. Maybe Ted or another member will chime in and tell why that is.
