Thanks, Al.

I was able to look up Huggins and Scott's Super set and seen even more variations I wasn't aware of.

The "R" in the Roy Campanella card for example. I began to look, thinking it was in the name "Roy" but with some further digging, and coming across an older Net54 link from 2011, I seen you and Toppcat had it figured out.

(I also added a new keystone to my collection, a T206 Mathewson! See the Pre-War Forum for that beauty.)
That '77 is a beauty. Very under rated set, and tough in top condition. Thin card stock, chipping, and centering plague the set.

Default 1952 Topps 60 Syd Hudson PSA 8

Just won this beaut at auction for my 52 Topps First series set. My goal is as perfectly centered cards as possible, and I just HAD to get this Hudson, which is a rather tough card to find well centered:

Default Busy July :

..busy month ; Kaline is one of my few '67's even though I'm starting to like the classy lay-out of the design , AND : I might as well go for the rest of the #1 through #310 on the 1952 Topps set ....I just realized how many I already have, many just by accident...centering's a wicked pissah though.....if I stay away from the PSA's it shouldn't be too astronomical.., he said hopefully

I have wanted to add this card for some time. These were stapled to milk cartons and redeemed for Braves merchandise and tickets.

Wow!! Great pickup! That's one I'm still hoping to add to my own Aaron PC. Aside from his RCs, I feel like the Lake to Lake is on the short list of Aarons that are either very hard to find or require serious cash. The other major notable is his HR Derby card, but a few others are his 55T Doubleheader, Hires w/Tab, and possibly his Laughlin Indy Clowns--this last one not so much being pricey but at least hard to find.

Congratulations on a really nice looking one too. Normally a hole and a staple would detract heavily, but they do just fine here given the nature of the issue.

If not for this purchase this morning I could have bought more cards. The one that died lasted since the late 80's so I shouldn't complain too much.

Extremely happy to add this one. Some of you know I am working on a framed display of 100 cards, representing baseball's Top 100 baseball players between around 1930 and 1980. Have been stuck on 97/100 for a VERY long time.

99 and 100 will be Gehrig and Ruth, and it will probably be a few years before I can bite on those. But #98 was simply a card that's extremely hard to find in good shape (or even at all).

It was never my intention to buy one of the top ones ever graded, but it ended up working out that way. For those of you familiar with the 1936 World Wide Gum set, most of the photos are low quality or even bizarre (e.g., Luke Appling in a tux?). But this one struck me as fantastic, somewhat reminiscent of the 1976 Topps Johnny Bench.

So here you go! It would be hard for me to imagine a nicer one than this.

If you switch to desert landscaping you'll never buy a mower again. You can buy more cards then!

I spent all afternoon at the National and only found 4 tables that had ANY 1936 World Wide Gum cards--and none with Hartnett.

The set is VERY hit or miss in the photography but includes Joe DiMaggio's RC, Lou Gehrig's final card, and 37 HOFers in all.

The set is sometimes called Canadian Goudey, but unlike the 1933/1934 Canadian Goudey sets it does not mimic a US issue in any way.

Many of the 30's photo's of players were recycled in many different sets.
I can't ever recall seeing that particular Hartnett photo image on that WWG card either.
Nice pick up!

Right, rip up all that sod and replace it with low-growing ground cover and trees - you could have bought a '52 Topps high number for the price of that obnoxious contraption.

I agree guys. Between the mowing in the summer and snow removal in the winter I have had about enough. Been trying to convince the wife we need to move to a condo on the Oregon coast.

I think that is Skowron. I want to say that image was used on a different card featuring a Yankee, but I may be mistaken.

One more July pickup. Another one (good condition sample) I'd been waiting on for a few years.
