Default First name only autograph value question

I have a large group of MLB players and execs data sheets from the Bobby Bragan estate. Included are several with notes signed only by their first name. I can find very few Mantle autographs or signatures with just Mick... is this worth more or less? Koufax is another? Also printed names by many as well?

I love my "Wahoo" Sam, from the Mike Andersen collection.... but it would be more valuable if he also wrote Crawford.

I’ve really wanted one of Babe Ruth’s letter signed only “Babe” for a long time. They come up now and then and I like the personal nature of Babe by itself.

Full name autographs generally sell for a nice amount more than just first names. If you want to see some comparisons, Lelands has sold some Jackie Robinson letters over the past few auctions, and some were signed in full and some were signed just Jackie.

That said, ALS (signed letters) can often sell for more than a full autograph, depending on the player and rarity of a letter.

Default Bill Nunn

Not baseball related but pertaining to subject topic. I am from Pittsburgh so I collected Pirates/Steelers autographs in the 70's. The Steelers' had a black scout by the name of Bill Nunn. He was responsible for recruiting some of the big names of the black Steelers such as Joe Greene etc. I sent him a couple of the Pro-Set Super Bowl cards from the 90/91 set to sign. He obliged and signed them and at the bottom of my request letter he signed thank you for keeping him and mind and signed Bill. Well a couple years back, he got elected to the Football HOF. He is almost impossible to find a signature of cause no one was writing to scouts. When he was elected, I moved that note within an hour of listing for a coo $1000. So in response to the question, there is a market for that sort of thing for the right person.
