Default T206 Speaker--Ebay auction concerns

I am always looking for a T206 Tris Speaker. Tonight I came across these two auctions. These cards look almost identical to me.

I think we have a love connection.

Heck, looks like identical scans/photos, right?

Good eye - same card/scans. Now which one of the two stole it from the other....

If you remember the first rule of forgery ... that copies of originals are almost always fuzzier/lower res --- I bet that you can figure out the answer to who has the original and who has the copy.

Well - one guy has 100% feedback on over 250 transactions. And all his many other auction items are photographed on the same black background.

Vendor #2 has crappy feedback and his other auction items are shown with many different backgrounds.

I'm no gambler, but I know who I'd bet on...

Cheers,
Blair

Plus the "good FB" guy started his auction 2 days before the "bad FB" guy.

VERY good eye - I noticed this speaker and another one from another Ebay auction a couple of weeks ago.

Incidentally, I saw this Speaker as it was put up on Ebay and I emailed the guy asking him how he obtained them as he was putting up all "key" cards.

He emailed me to let me know he got them from Kit Young in the late 1980's down in San Diego - I'll post up a SS of the email shortly. I'm very, VERY wary about this seller

That's gutsy to rip off another current eBay auction!

I checked a couple of his (925caliboy999) other current listings. The T206 McGinnity scan is stolen from an auction that ended 2 days ago. The T206 Otey scan is stolen from an auction that ended yesterday. The Hoffman scan is stolen from an auction that ended 2 days ago. Etc, Etc.

He has 39 T206's auction scheduled to end within 2 hours of each other six days from now, including about 30 HOFers (Cobb, Young, Johnson, Speaker, etc).

Anybody with Ebay connections care to shut this clown down?

As from my previous post - I did notice this guy putting up quite a few cards of HOF'ers up, one right after another, I just HAD to ask him the normal questions (are they authentic? where'd ya get them from? How'd ya get them from? etc).

He responded back to me below:

I decided to pursue this further with the original seller who has the actual possession of the card. Being a new collector of the T206's, the biggest thing that I read up on and try to absorb and learn much about was scams, fake cards, etc. Nothing would burn me, and I'm sure all of you, up more than anything is forking out all your hard earned money to a lying cheat. I just can't tolerate it.

Hopefully Ebay does remove the listings.

The scam seller just changed the Speaker image to a T206 reprint. Guess he's becoming aware people are on to him!
