Default T205 Green Border cards

Just received this in and, while there is a bit of gold around the edges, it looks green to me. Or is this just wishful thinking? Anyone else have some "green" ones to show?

Yours looks green to me Leon. Here is my Evers, I think it has green borders as well, but I'm somewhat colorblind.

Default Green Bergen

Here is my 'green' Bergen, acquired from my friend Andrew W. awhile back. Gem mint as you can see

I'm curious about this myself, Leon. Under a loupe, can you see even the most feint flecks of gold in the border? I've got a T205 that was consigned to my next auction, and it looks a whole lot like the cards in this thread. Under a loupe, it seems like I can see, very lightly, a few gold flecks in the border. I think it's a green border, but don't want to get the description wrong.

I've seen dozens of these through the years and my assumption always was that this is either the result of soaking or sun exposure, but that's been pure conjecture on my part.

I've soaked a few 205s in water and none of the gold came off, maybe they were soaked in some other substance. There was a large group of them sold as a lot in one of the major auctions awhile back, them being together leads me to believe they all faced the same type of 'corrosion.' Also, there is the theory that they could be scrap. Really hard to say. None that I've seen looked 'scraped' but that could have happened as well...
