Default Found a few cards, are they real / any information? "Butter Krust Bread"

I couldn't find anything on ebay....

Are these reals/original? And if so can you give me some information on them, and what they might be worth.

Thanks,

Sean

Lettering on back should be green.

I'm guessing reprints, but I'm no expert.

Was informed they are reprints and someone erased "reprint" on the back.

At least you found out before buying them. A real back would look like this.

Sometimes the green backs of the Butter Krust appear less than green but when they are in hand they are readily apparent.

Default Bravo Guys!

Frank, Dave, Rob, and Jason,

Guys like you are the reason why this board is awesome!!! When someone like Sean who might be newer at vintage collecting; or just unfamiliar with a set (Sean, not meant as a put down... Sorry, I don't know your background in collecting) helpful people jump onto the thread with valuable information and even scans to help that person out. Most people on this board do it in a professional way that doesn't make the person who is unsure feel stupid. Speaking for myself, I know little about many sets, but I always know I can count on anyone from the board to help out!
Best Wishes in your collecting everyone!
Thanks,
Tim Kindler

So they need to have green ink on the back. Any other indicators? Where would the word reprint have been erased? Anything on the front that helps to spot a fake? I might be looking a a few raw ones and know absolutely nothing about them.

Look at the backs of the cards.

It sure appears like each card had the word "Reprint" erased from the lower right corner. The card on the left still has a remnant of "reprint" left on it, and the lower right fleur-de-lis design and bottom border line have been partially obscured from card on the right.

D304 reprints can easily be identified by looping the name/team area. If that area has a dot pattern in it like the picture, then they are fakes. If that area is clear and the name/team are solid lines, they are original.

Forget trying to guess the color of the backs.

I have seen perfect fakes that need to be looped

I bought 2 of them and realized 18 months later while viewing my set on the can that I had been duped!

Not at the $150 each I paid for them. I threw them in my .25 box I set out at flea markets for kids to recoup some $$
