Up for sale today is a beautiful souvenier batting helmet from the 1996 MLB All-Star Game held in Philadelphia, PA. The NL won this one and catcher, Mike Piazza was selected as the game's MVP. This beautiful piece has been signed in black sharpie by over 50+ members of the NL & AL squads and includes Alex Rodriguez, Cal Ripken Jr., Wade Boggs, Tony Gwynn, Barry Bonds, Greg Maddux and many more with most of the names listed on the original invoice for the helmet that I purchased back in 1996 shortly after the game took place. I have included many scans of the autographed helmet along with the original purcahse invoice for your review. I purchased the helmet back in 1996 from Scott Welchowsky at Out of This World Memorabilia located in CA and have proudly displayed this piece in my living room for the past 12 years and have finally decided to sell it. I thought about having a third-party company such as JSA or PSA authenticate it but I was told that the cost would be somewhere between $150 - $200 based on the number of signatures involved. Instead of paying that money myself, I have decided to sell it at a more reasonable price without the third-party authentication but will offer a 30-day full money back guaranty if you purcahse the helmet and are not satisfied with the authenticity of the autographs.
