Photos of players and writers with press pins
I collect World Series and AS Game press pins.
There was a recent posting of Ruth & Connie Mack. In this photo Ruth is visibly wearing the 1931 Stl WS Press pin. Do any of our Net 54 members have images that show players and sportswriters proudly wearing their press pins?

I have an All-Star Game Press pin from the '30s or '40s that was in possession of my grandfather, Billy Sullivan, Jr., who was a player at the time. I always wondered why he had it. Was it common for players to get these? Does it mean that he might have been acting in some press capacity at a game, or were these pins just given out to players that asked for them or were perhaps invited as a guest?
