Default Post your Purple Pieces of Paper

Howdy. I was looking at my collection and noticed a complete dearth of purple on the fronts. Why is purple so uncommon? I know it commands a premium on the E94's, probably due to a combination of aesthetics and scarcity.

Please show off any of your cards with purple on the front. It would be greatly appreciated.

A purple-ish Vic Willis. Hard to tell from the scan (crappy scanner) but it's an odd color.

^^ yep, very cool! It has the gold borders of a T205, the layout of a Rose Co. postcard, and the inclusion of a mini L1 leather at the bottom. Weird! (but cool)

Awesome. Thanks for sharing everyone!

Does anyone have any guesses why there are so few purple pre-war cards? Was purple ink expensive? Was purple seen as a "girly" color?

Default here's my purple piece of paper

I had to wait to respond to this thread as I was in the process of purchasing this card (before the thread started, shockingly)...just got it in the mail on Monday. I think I only have one or two tint variations left to go in order to complete my 1926-29 Klein tint hoard!
