First time ever I have seen 3 auctions all having a Wagner for bidding all at the same time...REA PSA 2, Goodwin SGC 30 and Memory Lane PSA 2.

Like the starting price on the Doyle Nat of $100K same as the Wagner.

Also legendary sold the PSA 4 through one of their collections. 4 Wagners for sale / sold in a 2-3 month span is amazing.

In his previous post, Paul has the way on how on access the Preview already, so here are the instructions also:

(1) Go to the price grid list for the REA auction here:

http://bid.robertedwardauctions.com/pricegrid.aspx

(2) You'll notice in the drop down list box, there is an option for CURRENT AUCTION: REA Spring 2012. Choose this option, and hit the Submit button.

(3) You will then see the lot grid for each lot for the current auction. (All w/ $0 prices). You'll need to manually click on each lot, to see the preview for it.

Manually, painful, but, hey you can see the preview.

Great way. Much better than my clunky one and even better that the auction has officially opened.

I've got my money down.

Now my nemesis: 29 days, 23:36:00

P.S. In the time it took me to open this thread, type the above dozen or so words, and post, I was outbid on four lots and stretched to my max on another.

Default and don't forget

The closing night is the highlight of the chat room year. Last year I think we had 40+ people in there on the closing night. We were cursing every bid after 2am. It was quite entertaining. Our chat room hosting (yes, separate hosting service) just renewed yesterday. We are all set. Now, about the money I will need if I win anything...that's another story.

It is a good thing I didn't win the mega-ball. There would be many unhappy bidders in this auction. Amazing cards.

I did glance at the numerical grade, but I typically try to ignore the slab and look past the number on the flip, focusing entirely on the card.

1914 CJ's are not supposed to look like that.

A lot of amazing cards in there. I've already bid / outbid on tons of them. I know it's not a big ticket item, but did anyone else know that there are about 25 '51 Bowman Mays in the auction?

Is it me or does the bottom of that Cobb look trimmed? Seems like a little bat-eared. This is why super-high grade investment in ancient cards could be a risk (hope I don't derail this thread, just making an observation...)

Now that you point it out, I can see what you're saying -- bottom edge does look a little weird in the scan. Fortunately, in this case, I don't have the bankroll for super-high grade investment cards.

They ('14s) are paper thin so it wouldn't surprise me if it could have a bit of curvature in the slab.
