Default Did I miss out?

Posted By: Damian Anderson

I tried to snipe this item and winning price was just above my bid. I know what a 33 Goudey can bring. Was the price for this really low?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5235786181&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Thanks
Damian

yes that was really low for an ex/mt 30's card. but it was a world wide gum (canadian goudey)so i imagine there was not as much interest as a usa goudey.

My guess is that a World Wide Gum issue goes for about half the amount of its equivalent Goudey counterpart, at least that's what I've seen of the few cards that have sold. A PSA 6 of a Goudey would be roughly $110 ... so a WWG would be about $55. So this did go a bit on the cheap side.

That guy listed the card as a "World Wild Gum"...no wonder I didn't see it.

could call. I didn't notice that. That's why it went too cheap. I wanted it but had limited knowledge of WWG '33's. Should of said F^(+ it and sniped it for $50. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait for the next typ-o to get my first nice WWG. I do know that they are much harder to find than Goudey's. Damn I am such a cheap skate! What would you have bid if you would have seen it?

Hi Damian,

$45? (I actually wouldn't have bid, as I have one in PSA 5.) Prices for graded WWG cards are all over the place, esp. if cmoking wants something.
