High grade fresh 1977 Topps football set. Was put in this box in 1977 and has been there since. I have included pictures of the first and last card in the set and a Franco Harris from the middle. I also included some scans of the more prominant cards in the set. SOLD

Default More photos?

Can you scan in the Staubach, Largent, Casper, Payton, and Lambert cards? I might make a bid after seeing them.

Are the cards in the scans typical of the cards through out the set?

It appears to me that the set is more likely in the EXMT range.

Have you sold the set yet?

John

It was in that same box since 1977? Well, my memory is a bit fuzzy, but I seem to remember that those style boxes didn't appear until the early 80's and when they did they had a lip on each side of the bottom of the box and the cards would not lay flay all the way across the box like that. That style box was a Late 80's - early 90's (give or take) style box. In the 70's I used Clearfield Cheese box for my cards because there was no other option. I still have several 70's sets in those boxes and it was not until 1980 I believe that I was using the white boxes.

Wink

Thanks for the information. The set has been in the family since new, and I am not a "storage box" historian. It is just the box I always remember them being in. With your added expertise on "storage boxes" I will assume now that Dad put them in a better box at one time. They were clearly rarely handled or played with. The sale is for the card set. "Storage box" is free.
