Default A Question of Moustaches...

524 cards in the the T206 set and ONE player with a moustache. Compare that with the Old Judge issue in which nearly half are sporting the "stache." What gives?

Styles change....I used to have a pony tail. In fact, I used to have hair.

Titus was the last player to wear a mustache until the 1960s (Charlie Finley teams?). It became an unwritten rule at some point that players be clean shaven. Frenchy Bordgaray grew one in the late 30s or early 40s for spring training, but his team made him shave before the regular season started.

There aren't too many mustache threads, so here's a good shot of O'Rourke's handlebar stache from 1891.

Default Check out his T205

It is interesting to note that the T205 of Titus from a year or two later shows him clean-shaven. Even the Tituses of the world buckle under peer pressure.
