Hello, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Matt Woods 39 years old and have been collecting since the early 80's. My main projects are a 1957 Topps baseball set, 1957 Topps Football set and 1957/58 Topps basketball set, but I'm always looking for anything pre 1970. I'm amazed by the knowledge on these boards and am looking forward to chat and learn from everyone.

May the cardboard you find here match the cardboard of your dreams!
(No, I have no clue what I'm trying to say!)

Welcome Woodsy. So tell us: why the interest in the year 1957?

Naturally, Sean, the Milwaukee Braves won the World Series that year!

That is a good question. Matt, what about the '57 Topps set appeals to you?

Default welcome

Welcome aboard Woodsy. Mostly this place is what you make of it, just like anything else. It's a great place with a lot of great folks. Seeing a lot of the guys again at the National reaffirms that. Take care and let me know if I can ever help with anything board or hobby related. Happy collecting!!

Thanks for the welcome. As far as 1957 nothing more than I really like the look of the 3 (bb, bkb and fb), they just happen to be the same year. Thanks.

Matt,

I'm a T206 guy!

Are in for a wild and fun ride?

If so, you landed on the best site of the world! Not only will you gain tons of card knowledge but you will build life-long friendships with your brothers here!

I speak of this first hand as I have faced recent challenges in my life and a couple of bro's stepped up to offer me consolation as I dealt through an amazing amount of pain.

Welcome aboard bro!

Craig
