I can't beat those Old Judges that Joe picked up, but I did grab a nice item this week...my first (and only) Honus Wagner card!

It's a 1909 R.W. Johnston Studios Triple-Fold PC (postally used in 1909). When fully expanded, the PC width is too large for my scanner, so I showed only two of the panels (one of which includes Wagner, third from end).

Pretty nice 1932 Fay Thomas Zeenut I picked up. It has his autograph on the back. Not sure if that is going to help it or hurt it. Any thoughts?

Thanks Jim & Chris! i suppose i might need to get a few more backs of this Matty pose now. could be a fun (yet pricey) run.

PS- "Hit" #600 for me on Net54.

This sat on ebay for quite a while, with no takers. I finally did the BIN. The AZO stamp box on the reverse dates it to 1904-18. I'm thrilled with it.

(I'm reasonably certain that Andy did NOT hit a home run with this swing)

**will replace with better pics

Actually Andy should be 'out' as his right foot is on the plate. Nice RPPC.

Default not here yet, but

It hasn't arrived yet, but picked this up on the BST! This makes #150/300 for my "ideal" HOF rookie card collection! I'm now 1/2 way there! The other 150 cards will probably require a reverse mortgage, a significant increase in salary, and a lot of luck!!

Technically, I think he'd only be out for stepping on the plate, if he made contact with the ball at the same time. With that swing, it's unlikely.

picked up this Shibe park (Phila A's stadium) postcard. Its dated Sep 1 1913, and the writer talks about a game - Nats vs A's - and "Johnson" hitting a HR. According to baseball-reference, it was WoJo's 8th of the 24 he hit in his career and it came off of A's pitcher "Boardwalk" Brown.
