Easy mistake, putting the decimal point in the wrong place, I'm sure he meant $1.85, not $185.

He ought to cut it up into little pieces and sell them to Topps so they can include them on "relic" cards?

With a dollar bill, if you have more than 50% of the original bill, it's still worth $1. In this case, the headless Lou will not retain the value of a whole Lou. I wonder what the other 40% of the card might fetch?? Would a TPG authenticate 40% of a card??

Tony frequents this board and is a great guy. He has helped me several times - both in selling me needed upgrade cards, and (more importantly) providing sound advice on expected pricing and strategy for set building.

I saw the card a couple of weeks ago when he posted it on his site and was interested to see what the price would be. I am sure that it wasn't easy to put a sticker price on as it takes poor to a new level. I am confident of a couple of things - 1.) If someone has a reasonable offer slightly above his wholesale cost, he will take it because he is all about turning inventory and 2.) His pricing is as competitive as any that I have seen.

I have never met him. He doesn't know me from Adam, so I am not an advertisement for him. But, everytime I send him an email asking a question he takes the time to respond with quality information - even if it doesn't involve a purchase from him - sort of the antithisis of the B&M guys that John and company were talking about in the other thread.

Hard to put a value on a card that degraded. I mean, after all, his name and his head are both missing!! In my opinion, it has as much value as the card that "might" have touched the T206 Wagner card!

PS - He states the card is #92 instead of #160. How does he know? The number is missing as well!

Maybe the part of the card that had the head came back to him in a dream or a kind of out body/register experience.

Think the head is in a bicycle tire spoke? Still stuck on with the clothespin?

I think it's the rare cryogenic Ted Williams. Separate the head and drop and crack the skull on the floor Then wait for technology to catch up -- the card should be whole at some point in time -- then it will be worth the price.

At least with that card you can see the name! I can see a newbie collector seeing that other card, with no name, no team, no card number, and that high price tag, and be like WTF!?!?!?!?!?! lol.......

Love it!!! I have some "poor" condition cards, but no train wrecks. Beaters are one thing, but that one is lying bloody, battered and comatose by the curb!!!
