Default Picture back Stamp

I picked up this Bobby Byrne image. I can’t quite read the back stamp or know if it matters.

Thanks for any help.

Jon

Now that I see it as a photo I can tell it’s George Brace. Any importance?

Brace learned photography from George Burke, and the two worked together for many years. I don’t believe Burke was active as a baseball photographer when the Byrne photograph was taken, which raises the possibility that this is a copy photograph. Brace’s archive, which he told me consisted of over 1 million negatives, was filled with copy negatives. The stamp tells you that Brace printed the image.

Interesting tidbit about Brace: he knew George Wright.

It's a later reproduced photo by Brace, who was a well known photographer.
