Default Subject Front/Back Combo Completions

I have been collecting T206 Boston National front/back combos for quite a while now. I've completed a few but my latest is Charlie Starr. This particular subject back run is special to me as so many of my good hobby friends played a part in me completing it. Jim Rivera, Craig Wright, Art Martineau and King Yao. Lee Behrens and Mr. McKenzie get mentions for assists.

Starr is a difficult subject to find with any back other than Piedmont 350 and Sweet Caporal. I was really happy to be able to complete this group with the help of so many good people. Thanks to Chris Browne for putting together the front/back image.

That is so cool. It is funny how the different brands of tobacco result in different shades of blue in the background, unless my eyes are playing tricks on me.

I love the way you guys display these front/ back runs. It works perfectly.

Congrats. That is some seriously cool stuff.

Default back run

Nice back Run. Posts like this have inspired me to attempt a back run of Chief Myers Fielding cards. I currently have 6 backs . Carolina Brights,EPDG,Old Mill, Pied, SC. ant T213. I would graeatly appreciate any help from other Board Members to add more backs of this card to my run. Please contact me if you have any. Thanks to Everyone for sharing photos of thier collection on this site. I really enjoy seeing the different ways everyone collects.

Regards
JohnP

Great job Tim! I'm trying to do the same thing with Dode Paskert and finding it extremely difficult to come up with the non Piedmont and SC backs (although I was lucky enough to pick up the Broadleaf first). How long did it take you to complete? I'm finding that having patience is the most difficult part of the task!!

Thanks everyone.

Pat-The last T206 was the Drum. I was surprised when I learned a fellow collector owned it and really happy we were able to make a deal. The last of the cards shown was the T213-1.

The Starr run took 4 years and 3 months to complete.

Default Starr backs run

Congrats Tim.. I just recently fished a much shorter but just as rewarding backs run on Ganley. Chris Browne did the grid for me also and I love those pictures. Gotta figure out what the next move is now..

I see there is no Cycle, is there still the potential of one showing up?

That Broadleaf does look familiar.

Thanks Doug. Please post that image again in this thread in case anyone missed it. Or anyone else that has a front/back run to share.

Here's another one I finished a while ago. Lindaman doesn't come with some of the tougher backs in the set, but several of the front/back combo's of him aren't easy to come by.

Tim,

Congrats on a killer Starr run. It is sweet success threads like this that inspire me to tackle a player back run someday. Gotta get to 518/520 first. Keep up the great work on all things related to 206s!

Best,

Andy

I guess I should have my glasses on when I look at things these days. I thought it was odd there was no Cycle.

I was able at one time to complete Ewing and Brown, Chicago & Washington.

Default Hockey assist

Tim, nice back run. I get a hockey assist for getting it to the guy who got it to the guy. The best part is that you already had the red blob variation before the prices took off.

I'd love to see some other front/back runs. They don't have to be T206 but can be. Please post them if you want to share.

Mattern is another Boston Nat'l subject that wasn't printed with a lot of backs. He was one of 16 of the 200 print group 2 subjects omitted from the ABCD printing.

Hey Tim... Congrats on the back run... Im still working on my seymour double back run... But I finally made some progress last week... Big thanks to Jantz for getting me the second SC 350 fact 25.. was looking for over a year for that card... heres an updated pic of the run.

Just need the blank back, red hindu, and drum to complete the 1st run. Need those 3 plus the lenox and broadleaf for the second run.

Default More of the same

These were in various stages of completion ...

Camnitz (folded), Willis, and Gibson complete, but no longer so.

Leifield, Leach - close, but no cigar (also broken up)

Thanks guys for sharing your back runs. They're all fantastic.

Here's another of the Boston guys, Beals Becker. He's one of the print group 2 subjects that was not printed with any of the assorted backs. (Outside chance a Tolstoi may show up.)
