Default Miller Huggins & Goodwin Auctions.. Any winners?

Posted By: Jim Clarke

Many nice items went off last night in both of the auctions. I was surprised at some of the prices both low and high on many lots. I think I over paid on a N142 Duke Cabinet of Davis, but I've always wanted that one.. How did everyone else do?

JC - that's a great piece, nice purchase.

I was lucky enough to win the N167 Gerhardt (SGC 30).

JC,

Perhaps people should start the threads with...

"Miller Huggins & Goodwin Auctions...Any losers?"

You'll probably get more responses!

Actually there were some strong prices and some reasonable prices in the auctions. Me, nada on Wednesday.

This one replaces a 1940 Play Ball PSA 8. I've always wanted a card issued during Naps career. Plus, it's a new type card for me.

Just won one card, the 1911 Zeenut Seaton "smallbox" variation. Probably overpaid but at least got one step closer to completing the set.

I thought the 1897 Milwaukee Cabinet with Mack on it went really cheap. I looked at the Mays card as well to go with the other one I just picked up..

Congratulations to James Feagin who got a heck of a good price on his consigned piece. Could not have happened to a better guy and at a better time with your new baby!

I won a couple of lots of T205s in the H&S auction last night (including the lot with the Sovereign Matty) that will bring me to about 40% complete on that set. I'm pretty pleased.

I won the e90-1 goup with Karger in it. I will be lising all but Karger and Engle on the B/S/T in a few weeks.

On a separate note, I was surprised the nicer Dummy Hoy only went for $3750.

Thanks,
Scott.

That was a very nice image. Nice pickup.

BTW, if anyone is interested in a 1927 Pipp Exhibit or the John L. Sullivan N162, I'll soon have doubles.

Did anyone get any of the Hoy N172 cards? I think the best bang for the buck was the raw Hoy card that sold for $1600 on the second day of the auction.
