Default Completed 1971

I finally completed this set. Final 2 cards were 664 and 692, both rookie pitchers. One has 3 rookie pitchers with the same name, which shows that someone at Topps had a sense of humor.

I'm not a variations collector, so it's a basic set.

It's mostly in Ex condition, with about 30% at Vg-Ex.

Congrats Brent! I finished the '71 set about 3 years ago and really enjoyed putting it together, quite challenging with the black borders & looks great in the binder!

In late 1971 which was my 2nd full year as a So Cal baseball card dealer i put
together 12 complete sets and i repeated something similar every year til the
mid 80s now it took me 4 years to sell them all, the hot card, at least in the
west coast was Dodger rookie pitcher Sandy Vance who was expected to be
the next Sandy Koufax,, i sold out of my 1972,73 and 74 sets before i sold
those 12 1971 sets at that time 1972 topps was king by far!!

Congrats! Finished my 71 set about a year ago. It was the first set I undertook to complete in about 15 years. Hopefully it won't take that long to finish my 52 Bowman set which has stalled out at around 60% done.
Great job!
Drew

I am 92% complete all PSA 9s with 2 10s one of which is the Tom Seaver...this last slog is proving brutal. If anybody has any low pop 9s feel free to message me.

Wow...I bet that is a pretty set. I'd have fun crackin' that and binderin' it up...

I am 82% done and I would be lucky if my set averaged 4's...lots of good ones mixed with the usual chipped cards. I just don't have the patience for this year and really respect those that finish...especially a graded set. Cool.

I commend you on building such a high grade of this set. It will be beautiful when you complete it.
