Default A new sworn enemy

Just got a notification from Ebay that my search for a T204 Tom Reilly had a hit! Made my day until I realized it was for a reprint card. I wanted to strangle the seller through the internet.

Who exactly would be the target audience for a fake card of one of the worst major leaguers ever?!

Does that mean I've been replaced on that sworn enemy list?

That scan is actually from early 2005 and I haven't bid on one since, so I can't be held responsible for what happened the last 11 years.

I haven't bid on one in over ten years. I think I've been more than generous in that regard. I wish he would buy one finally so I can keep collecting them!

I don't even collect the set, I just hated that there weren't any Pirates in the set and decided to buy all the cards of the worst player in the set and destroy them in protest. I also hated 121 cards in the set, felt they should have stopped at a nice number like 120. I realized after I bought six of them that it was an impossible goal and everyone associated with producing the set was probably long gone anyway, so I gave up. Now I just keep them as a reminder not to try to get even with dead people.

Cards for sale: https://www.flickr.com/photos/185900663@N07/albums

I am actively buying and selling vintage sports cards graded and raw. Feedback as a buyer: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=297262

I am accepting select private consignments of quality vintage cards (raw or graded) and collecting "want" lists for higher end ($1K+) vintage cards.

And more importantly, John can finally go back to pursuing them to add to his hoard.

I'd love to know when the last one I bought was, but I still haven't bid on one since this post. I still have all six of them too. I bet it has been close to 20 years since I got the last one. I was 16 when I got the first as a Christmas gift (good timing on this response!) and bought at least three others a year or so after. Not sure if I got the last two right after that or it took time, so 20 years is possible

Ah, the Reilly. I have one now, though it was a bit of slog to get one. I loved the story and set out to do the 12 Lords a' Leaping, but quit after 6 or 7, I think, which is why Harry Lord may be a bit in short supply now, though pretty easy to get.
