Default Request for Card Stories

Posted By: John Thorn

Hi, folks. I'm a newbie to this forum but an oldtimer when it comes to writing about baseball. As Jay Behrens kindly posted on my behalf, I will welcome any and all help (stories, leads, tips about great stories in the hobby/trade. I am not looking to the T206 Wagner as a launchpad for writing a biographical profile; instead I'll look to tell (yes, I know, yet again) the competing tales about why the card is rare. In short, I'm looking for stories that are interesting about the player AND the card, ideally; also stories about the card; but not simply stories about the player.

Thanks for reading this; I hope to hear from many of you, either offline or on this forum. And I will be delighted to reciprocate, if you think I can help with a project of your own.

john
