Default Need help identifying this Hank Aaron card

Hello everyone,

I picked up this Hank Aaron card and cannot figure out what year or brand it is. I believe it shows him breaking Babe's record so it's obviously got to be a mid-70's or later card. It's a 3D type card where it shows the motion of his swing when I move it up and down.

Can anyone help? Any idea on value would be helpful as well. Thanks everyone!

Nothing personal but it looks like a disaster. Sorry I can't help with the ID.

It looks like an 86 Sportsflics.

Yeah, it doesn't photograph well since it's a 3D card.

I don't believe it's Sportsflics as I've seen many examples of those, but never one like this. There are literally no identifying marks or text on the card at all.

Yes, there is nothing on the back other than the reverse of the images on the front (i.e. it is also 3D on the back).

As bad as your photo is, it still looks like Hank is wearing an older uniform than Atlanta's blue and whites from 1974, which also did not have piping around/down the front, if that's what I'm seeing in your post. So maybe not showing him breaking Babe's record.

Ah, that is interesting.

I took a couple more pictures of the card that should show the images a bit more clearly (see attached).

Also, I found the toploader the card came in, and there was a sticker on it that says "H. Aaron Sample. 5,000 made." Not sure if this is accurate or if it helps, but thought I'd pass this information along.

Default Aaron

These look similar to an insert from 1999 Topps Stadium Club called Video Replay. They came in series 2 packs. They had 5 players McGuire , Sosa ,Griffey , Wood and Arod. The ridge or edge on the top and bottom reminded me of those cards. No Aaron but if it was a promo maybe? If I can find where I put mine I will post them.

Made by Kodak.

Here is a similar Ted Williams card:

and a Jackie Robinson:

Kodak made a handful of lenticular sets, and most never received much publicity.

This seller also has the Aaron, and a large selection of other misc. Kodak sets:

Unless I'm mistaken, the picture on the left shows an 'chief in headdress emblem' that was only on Braves' Milwaukee uniforms.

Your seller is hocking these as the record-breaking home run???

Yes and no. The dealer I bought it from only dabbles in sports items. He's more of an antiques dealer and has typically been very honest with me. My guess is he assumed the picture is that of Aaron breaking the record.
