Default Bat experts? A little help?

I picked up this really cool Yankees bat. Am I correct in presuming it is likely a team ordered bat (because of the barrel stamp)?

Furthermore, if it is, I deduced that "six" might be for Roy White?
I think the bat is too early for Torre (based on the labeling), and it makes sense (to me) that White (whom I think wore #6) would not have his own bats as a coach.

Can one of you experts tell me if I am on the right track? Or am I way off?
The bat was only like $20, so if not, I am not too worried about it if I am in error. But I thought it might be cool to have a bat that Roy White possibly used.

I am still learning how to properly date the Louisville Sluggers from my Vince Malta book.

Thanks in advance!
Sean
