T205 Snodgrass Variation
I have found a minor variation on the Sovereign back Snodgrass. I have only seen it on this back and it appears to be on all Sovereign's. The "decimal point" is missing before the "405", though not a major variation it is interesting none the less.
I also have a printing freak of this card that has a Piedmont back that is printed with "Black" ink instead of "Blue". I have been searching for many years but I have yet to find another Piedmont with this color back. I have seen many Piedmonts with "dark blue" backs over the years but no others with black ink. If I was to hazard a guess I would say that the printer might have run out of blue ink near the end of a print run. If that was the case then there should be more of these out there. Any thoughts?? |

Eye
Eagle Eye Ed on that missing decimal point!
I'm not a variations guy, but I can see where collectors can have enjoyment looking for nuances like this.

I'd say it would need to go into the master set. Nice find.

If the the Mathewson Cycle-Only variation can be include, I don't see why this wouldn't be as well. Nice find.
