Default jackie robinson bank

were the original robinson busts banks bronze or were some aluminum?

Bronze only, and no felt bottom.

It is astonishing how many of the repros (gold, bronze and silver) are positioned as originals. Even by reputable auction houses. Eventually I'm afraid nobody will know the difference.

That would suck. But I imagine the veterans would catch them anyway.

Yup it's the repro (as the vast majority are).

But don't throw it away. It's still an attractive display piece, sort of rare in its own right, and worth about $75. Still a pretty cool piece!

When were the repro's made....yeah its cool looking but i moved it to lesser location now..

I don't know the exact year they were made, but they've been around for at least 20 years. So at a minimum, they are pre-1995. Guessing they were made sometime in the late eighties.
