Default Need help with 1938 Little World Series boxscore

If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. I recently acquired a game used baseball from the Little World Series and have hit a complete deadend trying to find a boxscore from the game. Here is what is written on the ball.

1938 Little World Series Game #4 10-5-1938
KC-9
Newark-8
Winning pitcher Kemp Wicker.

Default 1938 lws

Found a boxscore in the NY Daily News from October 6, 1938. It can be accessed at newspapers.com. That's a pay service, but a SABR member can access it thru the SABR site.
In case you can't/don't find it:
Newark lineup: Schulte 2b; Gleeson lf;Keller rf; Rosar c;Scarascella 1b; May 3b;Chartak cf;Witek ss; Donaldp;Page p;Strincevich p;Stine p Blair and Kelleher ph

KC lineupavis 1b;Joost 2b;Judnich cf;Matheson rf;Gallagher lf;Miller ss; Riddle c; Wicker p; Makosky p;Washburn p.

The box lists Makosky as the winner and Stine as the loser.

14 runs in the last three innings.

I guess closer was spelled without a “c” in 1938.
