Default On Site Grading

I'm considering going to the White Plains show tomorrow to get some T206 cards graded by SGC. Anyone know how that works? Like will they grade the cards promptly within a few hours or do they typically just mail them back to you? And do the grading specials apply to on site grading too?

I realize I could just contact SGC, but they are not open at this hour/day.

I've gotten cards graded by SGC at the White Plains show; takes an hour or so. I believe there is a show rate but I could be mistaken. Very easily done.

I was standing near their table and I heard them telling people about an hour or two. Hope this helps.

I had some done at the shriners show. I took a bit longer than an hour to pick up, but they were ready pretty quickly.

There was an on-site rate for that with a max value, but that was fairly high. The card or two I did that were over they quoted a price that was reasonable.

They also answered a couple questions on cards I'd had graded before but didn't see what made the grade what it was. Sort of a review, but quick and for free.

If I wanted the specials, I could have dropped them off and had them mailed to me like they do when there isn't onsite grading but they're there.

Last year I did it at White Plains, one card, was told one hour and took more than two, so beware if you don't want to hang around too long...

I have done a few on site submissions too, with SGC. Saves on shipping and one of the times, I didn't want the particular cards going through the mail as they were quite valuable and irreplaceable. (I wrote an article for 19thCentury Only about it).
