Where did you get your case for your phone case. I have a screen protector and a case on my phone but would love to get a case to protect them.

I am in the process of making my own clamshells. Inside each shell will be a tiny chip which I have programmed myself. Once the shells lock into place, the chip will determine if your card has been trimmed or not. If the chip does detect trimming, then it will start going BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!!! You will have thirty seconds to run away and then it will go ... KABOOOOOOMMM!!!

Maybe we just need to slab the sticker and ensure the grade is retained. the card is almost irrelevant.

You wanna protect that high grade in every way.

Default New service

There's a new service coming out in 2020 to have your protective slab graded.

I hear it will be a pink sticker that you can have affixed to a laminated piece of paper with a hologram that can be kept with the holder of the card. The sticker on the laminated holographic paper will be proof that the holder is in the top 5% of holders in terms of the 3 C's of holder condition (cut, clarity, centering). They also check for evidence of filling out of imperfections from the seams or join areas left from the plastic injection molding process. They can detect if additional plastic has been added to clean up nicks and scrapes on the older too. I think they use lasers to check for cracks.

If base graded card in the original holder is worth less than $500, you can qualify for bulk submission rates. Of course you can always pay a premium to get a quicker turnaround for your sticker.

I was thinking it might be a good idea to get these clamshells for PSA cases, then obtaining a couple of raw versions of the double enclosed card to tape on the front and back of the case, so that I could get an idea of the smell, touch and taste of the entombed card, and being that it is a PSA slabbed card, what an unaltered version of the card looks like as well.

Do they make a slab for the slab protector protector? This way I don't have to be that concerned about the PSA investment getting trashed...

oops, didn't see that we should be letting the thread peter out....

Some years ago Ultra Pro made a notebook sheet for slabs. Four to a page, rigid plastic with a clamshell design. They did not do well but now sell for a premium if you can find them. Also. remember those cloth pouches with the window for PSA labels? Those never caught on either. Best of all was a small box like a jewelry box that had a padded inside for a single slab. I used to keep my Aaron RC in one.

None of my friends ever help me sell anything. I guess it's just as well I can't say I do much to sell their stuff either.

I'm not sure a plastic case that can be replaced for a 10 dollar reholder fee really needs another plastic case to protect it. Maybe I'm missing something.

In my Opinion Graded Cards Are Not an Investment.....
The So Called Marketplace.....is a MARKETING TOOL PURE AND SIMPLE YOU CAN CALL ANYTHING YOU WHAT WHATEVER YOU WANT HOWEVER IT IS MY BELIEF THAT
GRADED CARDS ARE NOT AN ASSET CLASS

To me all this Talk of Investment has Fueled/Been a major contributing factor to a lot of the current issues this industry is facing.....MARKET MANIPULATION CORRUPT AUCTION HOUSES INEPT OR COMPLICIT TPG'S and Card Doctors....it's very sad.

Wish PSA would make a protective clam shell I could put over my entire house. Would keep my most valuable cards very safe.
