Default June Pickup Thread

Very happy to add this at a reasonable price. To me the posters from this film that are signed by both Mantle and Maris are the ultimate pieces for those looking for dual signed Maris/Mantle items. It is so rare to see them signed by both. As a collector of both vintage baseball autographs and vintage movie posters, this is a bucket list item for me.

Also, although I assume there are a few others, I have not seen any posters of this size (called an "insert" poster, measuring 14x36) signed by both before. I have seen lobby cards and one sheets signed by them, but this is the only insert I have seen. Very happy.

Very bold signatures as well.

Tom, that’s really nice. I’m sure the reasonable price was still very much up there. Congrats on a have to have pick up.

That is a gorgeous piece! I'm not an expert on how you would display such item. Would you frame with protective glass? I assume there is glass out there that would prevent any fading in both the signatures and bright colors of the poster.

While not as good as the first post, I finally found my first Maris. Very happy and excited! One more down, many more to go

Since I hardly ever get to a game, and therefore, cannot get in-person autographs, I buy Topps Certified Autographed cards on Ebay (Hey, I gotta trust someone or I'd never get any autographs at all). I now have 76 different Hall-of-Famers represented with these two being the latest in transit:
