Default Help with 1915ish White Crescent Glove

Hello All,
I only own a couple old gloves so it is not my area of expertise, however I have been thinking about buying this one and have communicated with the seller several times on it. I know these old crescent gloves are fairly valuable, especially the white ones it appears. I want to be able to make him an offer on it that is fair, can anyone provide insight into it's value? I am not in tune enough to know how much the condition effects it, etc. It looks like there is a split at the top of one of the fingers and that the leather is starting to fray a little in general. The tag and button on back look to be fairly nice. Thoughts? Appreciate the help.
Best,
Jeff

I agree with Murph so long as its an adult sized glove...do you know the dimensions? I say that with the caveat that the $1200-$1500 is, IMHO, what you'd want to pay if this glove is gonna be a "keeper"...there wouldn't be much, if any, room for any turn around at that price.

Nice glove glove though...the web, crescent, the piping, the patch, all very nice.

Looks like it might be a Youth/Kid's glove, given the overall appearance and cloth piping (as opposed to higher-end rolled leather).

The Crescent Pad, Spalding patch, firmly attached web, and relatively clean white leather are huge plusses. But if it's very small in size, it may limit the value. Plus, I would ask for a better close-up of the apparent cut to the top of the 4th finger. I also see faint initials or ink writing both on the middle finger and the wrist strap. Ink writing (even if faded) is a personal deal-killer to me as a collector, but would not necessarily bother others.

If indeed a youth glove, I would knock about $400 off of the values stated above... $800 - $1K. Still, a real "looker".

Just my opinion, and hope it's helpful.

Thanks all. I will see about the other photos so that condition can be seen better and will post those. Also will inquire about the diameter of the glove. When we were discussing it, I mentioned about it being adult or youth, and assumed it was adult, but never got confirmation...and it sounds like that is very relevant to the price.

Here are couple additional photos. It does indeed look like the piping is cloth. Included is a nice shot of the split in the finger. I still need to get a reading on the diameter in inches to confirm young or adult. Appreciate the help from everyone.
