ok, very soon i will be parting with about 85 or so T206's most are common players in desent condition about 40% graded, the major cards i have are the following cy young glove showing and bare hand, mathewson white cap and dark cap, johnson hands at chest all are graded either sgc 50/4 or psa 4 (except for matty wht cap it's a psa 2) those are the major cards with some minor ones like hal chase, sherry magee and a couple other hofer's... heres my question and i do not want to sell them off individually

should i sell the entire lot at one price or
should i sell the youngs, mattys and johnson in one group and the rest in another group?

the lot will include 29 different backs so i was thinking just one big lot...any thoughts? by the way, i want to get as close to a zillion dollars as possible without selling each one individually
pete-

ps, not taking offers yet, sorry

As always individually = more $$. Set collectors/Back collectors/HOFer collectors want cards on there want list, not a bunch of dups or cards they are not interested in. Also bulk lots sell for far less than the total individual value.

you'd probably get the most selling the biggies separately and the rest in small lots!

Rather than selling your cards in a few lots, you may wish to consider consigning them to an ebay seller who will likely generate more dollars for you, even after taking his cut. I have done this, and the consignment fees are worth it, imo.

your best bet is to sell them yourself, individually on ebay. if you do not want to do this you should reconsider. you will realize the highest dollar amount and with 85 pre war cards.(and whatcards you mentioned)this is really by far the best way to go. i imagine you do ebay? (at least buy?)if not this would be a good time to start to sell. if you have questions on selling there are lots of board members here that will be able to answer them.

the main reason i dont want to sell them individually (at least my common players) is that i dont want to get stuck with 6 or 7 cards that i couldnt sell, i could always sell those in a lot but with 85 cards it could be time consuming and eventhough i do buy and sell on ebay, i do have a job that im currently working 8 shifts a week at. which by the way makes it easier to pick up the higher priced cards i want..

thanks for the input and anymore will be appreciated too, i plan on offering them in the b/s/t first, even though i may not get as much as i would on ebay, i'd rather give someone here a better deal than some "schmuck" who wont appreciate it...
