Members of this Forum at the Philly Show this W/E totalled 16 (including me).
We braved cold windy wintry weather and even snow on Sunday to be there;
but, as usual it was well worth it.

Regular posters:

Mike Peich....Lyle Jobe....Kevin Cummings....Scott Moseley

Jay Miller....John Dreker....Alan (Jewish Collector)....Jim S.

I was told Preece was present (I didn't get a chance to meet him).

Avid Readers (I hate the term "lurkers"):

Mark Rios....Paul Kaufman....Keith Ort....Drew (T206 guy)

Dave & John (guys from Baltimore)

Mike Peich organized "round table" meetings in the snack area.

John Dreker's Dad was with him, John, Sr., and we shared our
"Vintage" car stories. I really enjoyed that conversation.

LEON

Don't bust my chops....."Vintage" here means my 1957 and 1960
Thunderbirds and John's 1960's & '70's Corvettes, Camaros, and
other great "American Heavy-Metal" cars.

And, Leon, long time ago I had a 1941 LaSalle, so that certainly
qualifies as pre-War material on this Thread.

Dont forget the Phil Rizzuto talk you and my father had too,and of course the dinosaurs,T-Rex! Just so people know,T-Rex pulled out of our scheduled arm wrestling match,he didnt want to beat me too bad in front of everyone

It was good meeting everyone there and i found out one thing from the board.Scott Mosely has the most memorable face on the planet. He mustve had close to 2,000(slight exaggeration)people recognize him from his picture in old cardboard magazine

John

I would love to elaborate some more on all the topics you, your Dad,
and I discussed. We covered a broad and varied amount of subjects.

However, as you can see, there is not much interest in this Thread, so
I'll have to go to another one.

Ted:

I would have said that, among other things, I enjoyed talking to you about the vinegar and salt french fries at Palisades Amusement Park, but wouldn't that be considered off topic for a baseball card forum?

And, by the way, where was board member Scott Ingold? John Dreker wanted to find out where the card stores are in Tuckerton.

Kevin

Since I went home empty handed (except for some supplies) on Saturday, meeting yourself and some of the other board members I hadn't met before was the highlight of my day!

John, LOL... I dunno if thats a good thing or a bad thing. At least Lyman should be happy since it means people are reading Old Cardboard.

Scott Ingold always visits with me at the show. He is great to talk with.
I did not see him this time around.

I am updating the Forum presence to 17 at the Philly Show
this past weekend. Dan McKee emailed me and said he was
there briefly and didn't get a chance to getting around.

John

I concede, you'd have won the arm-wrestling bout, since
youth usually wins over age in such a contest. Yes, the
Rizzuto stories your Dad and I recalled were really great.
And, after your Dad's comments about the T-Rex dinosaur,
maybe I'd rather be called a Bronto...or Stego...saurus.

Thats too bad i didnt get to meet up with Dan McKee,hes a good guy to talk to,always has something good.I usually stop by his table for awhile.Wouldve liked to have been able to talk to all the board members for longer but i wasnt there long on saturday and didnt see anyone except Ted on Sunday.

Ted and my dad hit it off talking about non-card topics,i was going to get security to take them out for that till i realized my dad had the credit card

Ted's T-Rex name is stuck on him now,no use changing to other dinosaurs now,t-shirts are already being made.

As a note to Kevin, theres nothing wrong with Tuckerton, stop trying to start trouble.Id be happy to go to a card shop there, you just meet me there,i might be a little late
We are just kidding around Scott Ingold,im sure Kevin wouldve started trouble if you were at the forum meet and greet, hes a Tuckerton hater

Also to Scott Mosley, please change the spelling of your last name so it doesnt look like no one else can spell it right

I understand......... ha ha. By the way it's LITTLE EGG HARBOR to you uplander/northener's. But seriously i was busy getting my boats out of the lagoon before the snow. I am sorry not to have made it. I was really looking foward to meeting some of those that i have sold/bought cards from over the past year as well as my quarterly meeting at Teds table with my daughter in tow.

Ted did you have that great 15.00 box ? So far i remember Goudeys and misc. t cards out front. What was it this year ?

Scott

Geez.......nothing gets forgoten about on this board. The whole Tuckerton/per capita income thing must have been about a year or so ago. (smile smile)

Scott:

John took artistic license in his last comment about me. I hate neither Tuckerton or Tuckertonians. It's the annual export of greenhead flies Tuckerton sends to Long Beach Island I dislike!

Kevin,

You must be from the south end. I grew up in loveladies and moved here (leht) a few years ago. Are you year round ? Bennie ?
But i will say the greenheads were horrible this year. Damn near picked me up and carried me away a few times out on the bay.

We missed you, as you can see. Yes, I always have my "junk box" up front
full of T-cards, E-cards, Goudeys and PlayBalls ranging from $10 to $25.

The responses here sounds like a "JOISEY Boys" gathering with John, Scott,
Kevin, you and Ex-Toms River..ite (me).

Hope to see you in March at Philly.

The Ft Washington show was alot of fun and it was great to see some faces I hadn't seen in a while and meet some new people. Ted, that T-Rex monicker fits. When you are viewed from the side in just the right light..........
