Give someone rope and they will usually make one of these.

Dude, good time to just walk away. This is a class group of people on this forum. No reason to keep this going. It's over one way or another. You walk away or you are shut down from posting. Your choice. Please make the right one

I accepted the apology as we all make mistakes and your actions after that left me thinking you weren't sincere. You seem more sorry for getting caught than for what you did, from what I can tell.

Did the card come with the auto when you bought it? Also where did you buy it ? A lot of bad card/auto combos have been on ebay.

As I posted earlier, it's not real, not even close (the card). But if you want to be 100% sure the easiest way is send to a grading company that is reputable SGC, PSA or even BVG. Easy enough.

Because I'm confused on the timeline, help me see if I'm following this right:

LAST WEEK: tries to scam someone on a card
YESTERDAY: tries to blow smoke about such card
TODAY, 10:30 am: Comes clean and apologizes, kinda
TODAY, 3:30 pm: Whines 'cause you Sons-A-Bitches can't move on
TODAY, 3:38 pm: insults everyone for not helping

My head is still spinning!

Note:

As an Army combat veteran with almost 30 years of service to this great nation I can tell you without a doubt that those exchanges were embarrassing and quite frankly pretty saddening. Some Soldiers do not need to be told "thanks for your service" when they quite frankly do not deserve it.

peace, mike

You can add the my property manager to that unworthy group.

Salute the Flag, the Uniform, and then the man - if warranted, in that order.

Default property manager?

Property manager huh? Who would have guessed!

Just wanted to clarify something also. I capitalized the word Soldiers. I am not sure when this became "correct" so to speak but in the military, we always use a cap on the word Soldier(s). I don't even realize I am doing it until I see the post after I hit submit. Kind of like driving a 5 speed and not realizing you are hitting the clutch.

Take care all,

peace, mike

My mom is enjoying this too. She usually sits next to me at the computer to make sure I don't go into any naughty adult sites. Her house, her rules - of course, she is 93 and doesn't have much better to do on a Saturday night.

Ok, this sounds like a good movie plot.......93 year old mom watching over your shoulder......

Any producers out there want the newest comedy?

I guess my biggest concern would be why if he tried to scam anyone would he still be allowed to be on the site.

That makes no sense. No one would trust him again anyway and its obvious his contributions so far have not been stellar so it's not like he's bringing a wealth of knowledge of any kind.

Am I missing something?

I think that sometimes it's good to let the Trolls of our hobby have a voice so that they can identify themselves and let us all know what bridge they're hiding under. Not to mention the entertainment factor of watching them try to hide in plain sight.

I agree on the entertainment factor for show, who doesn't like watching a train wreck.

I just don't like the fact that he wasn't kicked after trying to scam someone.

Hi Mike,

To be fair, he never actually said what army he was part of. I've heard that Lesotho in southern Africa has a pretty fierce military...

I'm assuming most got the sarcasm in my post, in jest to the OPs comments about us all sitting in front of the computer at our Mom's house.... I guess it's not funny if I have to explain it . I am not that pathetic...well, I probably am, just in other ways .

It also serves to help us all realize that we really aren't that bad. Despite all of our faults, almost every one of us here is squeaky-clean compared to this guy. So perhaps guys like him help the rest of us bond a little?

He said he was selling it as a RP in the description. If the bidders either don't know what that means, didn't ask, don't know cards etc.....not sure it's all the sellers fault. That being said if he put "Reprint" in the title of the auction it wouldn't have sold for hundreds of dollars. Another squirrel-ly auction ......caveat emptor didn't work well.

You nailed it Steve, seems like the same stories told in a little different way but always end the same. Guy gets pissed and leaves after a few choice words and dumb comments.
