Default stretch...

While possibly true, who would want to own two small light/faint blue marks from the potential back of a Wagner card? Never could be proved and if it was, all you have is a 1/16th of a Wagner back. Ridiculous. I wouldn't pay $50 for it. Anywho, this is not only a stretch, but reaches on crack levels of description.

now every miscut bowerman is a partial wagner back. lol. the only way that gets funnier is if they put the primary picture as the back like people with rare backs do in their ebay listing.

if that was my card i would probably be pissed about that and get it corrected.

Default Bowerman/Wagner??

This is just about as ridiculous as it gets. Makes me wish someone had shot me before I published "T206 The Monster"

I had a great chat with the owner of this card at National. My thoughts are the players on the strip do appear to be from the same sub grouping for the 150 series (minus Wagner) but no way to really know that the strip order was used in production.

Definitely a stretch

Default T206 Partial Wagner

Wow the Opening Bid is only $5 K . I think I will start saving up now.
That is one of the Most Ridiculous Listings Yet.
Good Luck...

At least this card is real, John. Fake Wagners start at 300k if they were born in Cincinnati!

i called and asked. the consigner presented it this way to them, both the description and opening bid. whether the description was verbatim or not that is unclear.

i can understand the desire for the consigner to have some input into what the description says if they feel it is relevant to the upsale of the card...within reason.

on the flip side i would have expected that the auction house prevent something that is so...exceptionally bizarre...from making its way in.

this definitely looks really silly as you are thumbing through the listings. figured someone there might wonder what others think if they put that in their auction. they just paved the way for listing really ridiculous stuff at really ridiculous prices.

I am thinking of consigning a stick of Topps gum that was next to a '52 Mantle in the pack.

If you cross your eyes, hold the stick of gum at just the right angle, during an eclipse, you can just barely make out an impression of the back of the Mantle card.

$750 shipped

Moe I'm quite interested. Can we work out a trade? I have an actual Piedmont cigarette that was possibly packaged with a Wagner. Please let me know!
