Default Titus flood to market?

There are currently 39 Titus' on ebay. I don't recall that many ever being listed on ebay at the same time by a long shot. Did he do something wrong that I should know about? Why so available all of a sudden?

I warned him not to wear that "mustache rides" t-shirt to the signing, but you know John. He just doesn't know when to tone it down.

I would have expected better from a guy who married his 17-year-old neighbor when he was 39.

Depends how long you've been following. There was a guy who was buying almost every Titus T206 about 3-5 years ago. He kind of stopped. Then I recall there was someone who had a find of Titus cards (including T205s, etc) that were passed down in the family. Rather than selling them individually over time, they put them in a giant lot with an auctionhouse. The buyer of them thought that because all Titus cards were going through the roof, he'd be able to buy them from the auctionhouse and then flip them to the guy who had been hoarding them. I think he failed and has been stuck with most of them ever since.

Makes sense. Pretty tough flip, when your "through the roof" market consist of one.

I really doubt that scenerio. Buying cards in a lot to sell to one guy that you arent sure will buy them. Its like buying 100 1952 topps baritromes right now though i have been criticized when i said the pricing on those will fall

He may not have intended to sell them all to the hoarder, but he did try to flip them just as the Titus market collapsed.

It reminds me when Walt Disney was buying up all that swamp land in Florida to built Disney World. Once the land owners heard it was him snapping up all that worthless land, the price went up tenfold. Imagine what would have happened if Mr. Disney just said "Screw it - I think I'm gonna do something different"......lol..............Kinda the same thing.
