Thanks, Al. It’s part of a small group that I just picked up so I was hoping it had some kind of sports connection.

Default New arrival!

This little gem just arrived from out in the wild. Can anyone tell me a year on this or if it’s part of an actual set? Or is it just considered a style of PM10? It’s even got the nice vintage rust on the backside.

Jim not really considered a PM10 pin as it is only about 7/8s of an inch across.A nice little pin Appling had a long career with Chicago 1930 to 1950 Pin is probably late 30s early 40s. Is common but a nice pin for the collection....

Pinback was produced for ‘Luke Appling Day’ in 1947 - and was presented on a placard that thanked fans for donating to the Luke Appling Fund - FYI.

I would imagine then that this was only available that one day? Or does anyone know if it was sold outside the stadium after the day? I guess I can look back and see what the attendance was that day but to me I would think that it would be a fairly scarce item, no?
