Default NYC Dinner

Posted By: Joe D.

The other thread was long and confusing... so I figured it would be a good idea to start this new one.
We all feel for Barry during this difficult time (and I have kept him on the list).
Leon mentions that the dinner and his plans to come to NY are still on.

So to review:

6pm Saturday Feb 16
Porcão NYC
360 Park Av. South
at 26th Street
(212) 252 7080

Here is the list of confirmed attendees as I understand it.
If you should be added or removed / just let me know:

Leon L.
Joe D.
Michael S.
Jeff L.
Barry S.
Patrick P.
Wonka
Robert S.
Scott H
Rob Fouch
Bruce Dorskind (edit to add)

Some of the maybes that I remember.....
Jodi?
Dar?
Scott Levy?
Hank Levy?

See you all tomorrow night.

Joe-

Dar will be in Vegas...

See you tomorrow!

p.s. Barry- would be great to see you (might also help get your mind off things for a few hours)...but we totally understand if you can't make it.

Joe and Michael- I will make every effort to be there, even if my mom passes in the next couple of days. I will do my grieving, but I want to be with friends this weekend. That would be the best thing. If I shed a couple of tears, please forgive me.

there is nothing to forgive.

I am glad you are looking to be there.

There will be a lot of laughs and it will be a good time (just what the doctor ordered)

Sadly I cannot make it. I'm just finally starting to feel human after getting the flu and can't leave the house just yet. I think my dad (Hank) is planning to go.

Best Regards,
SGL

Pass this time, all. FWIW, I'll be at New York Law School until 600 on Thursday, March 6th, so if anyone is in the Tribeca/SOHO area that day, let me know.

It was nice to break bread with everyone who attended.

I thought it was a pretty good place (food / atmosphere).
Glad I recommended it... even if it wasn't the place I thought I was recommending

(Frank - I am not sure why the restaurant would have given you the bad info - that is a bummer)

I agree, it was a great dinner and great to finally meet Leon.

Topics discused included dangers of walking around NYC with very expensive baseball cards, dressing up your rooster for a fun night out on the town, Joe D's cool Old Tom golf cards which we all laughed at, and Mike's possible usage of Roofies when meeting strange women from Texas. Wonka also promised to step up some of his photo shopping as he agreed he had been remiss.

Great restaurant choice.

Jeff- you missed a nice after party in the front lounge. Wonka kept us entertained with an hour of guerrilla theatre.

Just back into Big D. Thanks for coming out last night guys. I had a blast. The food was great and the conversation was even better. Thanks again to everyone, especially John at dinner, and Barry all weekend, for being so generous and hospitable. Joe D- thanks for setting it up too.... I look forward to the National with even more anticipation and hope most of ya'll can make it. I would single out each person individually from last night to say how much I enjoyed getting to know you but that would be boring.... Suffice it to say I hope I can get together with ya'll again in the future....

Our thoughts are still with you Barry (and Dan) on your recent losses. Dear I say many of us can empathize. Only time will help heal.

Dan- give my condolences to your Dad....He is one of the best guys I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. My prayers are with ya'll...best regards

Leon- it was great to finally get together, even if the timing couldn't haven't been any crazier!
