I wonder if James Maxwell feels any exhuberance in the plethora of micro T206 dash, dots, shadows and maladies of todays T206's. He was a man before his time.

And for you T206 collectors not familiar with him, Do your homework!

I was thinking about James Maxwell just yesterday...wishing I still had some of their auction mailings...a seemingly endless flood of t206's...proofs...rare backs...top grade...you name it!!!!!!

I owned that E90-2 Clarke Leon posted back in the mid-90s, it's like seeing an old friend again!

Not a T206 or a miscut, but in the same neighborhood. Obak triple strike.

Thanks guys. It was a nice find and even better I got it in person at a card show today here in the Bay Area. It was in a stack of Obaks and I always make sure to check the backs. This time it paid off.

I can't tell if it's two or three strikes. I see three T's in Cigarettes. But mostly two of everything else. Weird card.

Awesome card packs!!!

Great score- nice job. I believe that is a double strike. I think it appears in certain places to be triple, but it's like an optical illusion I'd feel confident in saying it's a double strike though.

Not that it matters, beautiful card and excellent find!!! Thanks for showing that-

Sincerely, Clayton

Great card! It's a double strike, the T's are double, not triple.

But either way, super Multi-strike

Was looking thru this thread again, great cards!

Jim/Sean- i noticed a discussion early in the thread about light vs. dark P42's...the P42 i have is the darkest one i've ever seen. all others i've seen or owned have been lighter, and obviously many of them have the OC to the right. i assume the darker version is less common?

I could not agree more. I own two, and both have that light blue ink. Great Schlei!

Mike, I'm not sure. I have two: one has light blue and the other is darker.

I've never seen totals for how many are light or dark. Maybe Johnny can help with this question.

Hey Guys

I have been debating this for a while......I used to think the darker ones were rarer.....now i'm not sure...

I really want to do comparisons of light and dark with the same player....

for example.....does schlei have the dark and the light version???

SB1 - Scott I'm pretty sure James Maxwell and Virginia Caputo(?) are still alive and well. Occasionally I see something that THEY list on Feebay. Interesting people and EVERY card JM had for sale was A VARIATION/ERROR.....

Going through my collection recently and thought that this card fit the criteria for this thread "Impossible back miscuts"

Considering that the back isn't just miscut, but it is a back from another set and upside down:

Menagerie Lobert E92 (mislabeled as e102)

Yessir. It went undetected last year and I found it! It's a beauty, although it is graded authentic because it has been trimmed. I really don't care though because it looks mint. Thanks!

That's sweet! Gotta love those Piedmont 42s. The fun is with the quest of finding them, because they're quite scarce IMO.

Elberfeld up and over and a Howell left-right that is the most extreme L-R T206 shift that I can find.

Default Croft's Oddity

Here's an E92 Croft's oddity. The back features an upside down split advertising Croft's design. What's extra cool about this card though is that there is also some upside down split reverse ghosting appearing in both left and right margins on the front. And the ghost images appear to correspond exactly on the front as they appear on back. So there must have been a card with an identically freaky error-back on top of this card that caused the wet transfer.

Great card, wonder if several sheets were printed, front first then the incorrectly aligned/inverted when printing the back causing the misprinted WST then cut based on the front.

Had a horrendous year in 2014 and collecting was not important to me at all (a few of you are aware of the cicrumstances). Only just returned to collecting and bought my first pre-war cards, including the Helm below, in 16 months two weeks ago.

Here are my miscuts - first time I've shown all of these:
