Default SCGaynor: 24 T3's w/ Ty Cobb, Christy Mathewson & Walter Johnson

Posted By: Andrew of SCGaynor

I just wanted to let everybody know that SCGaynor will have 24 SGC graded T3s going up on Thursday. The highlights include Walter Johnson, Ty Cobb, Christy Mathewson, Eddie Collins, Bobby Wallace, Ed Walsh, George McBride SGC 80, Bugs Raymond SGC 80, and more. Please email me with any questions.

They asked me if it was ok to announce an auction and give specifics on the front page. Since other auction houses have always done it (though I don't remember scanned images ), and it was a rule before the dreaded advertising, then I thought it could be done again. regards

I don't remember specific items on these notices before, that to me makes if more of a BST thread than just announcing an auction.

Please see BST thread for some T210s that I have available. BTW, why was the T3 Cobb only graded authentic?

He makes more off this board in one year, than I have in any year. I would gladly take the board over for the ad money. But I don't think that is happening. Not everyone that reads this board makes $50,000 or more. I just enjoy the hobby with what I have.

Lee, did you put most of your T206 and T202 sets together before the big Vintage boom? I would think you would have to be one savvy collector to put those sets together today on a limited budget.

Jay- I don't think promoting your wares on the front page is something you would ever do is it? Pick up any new Keeler cabinets lately ?

edited to add link and the all important smiley face..

My main focus is T206 Cycle 460s. Hope to get all the T202s with every back (a pipe dream there).

Boy Leon you had to go to May 2006, that one did not have any items in it's title. Nice choice auctions, did you pick that one for my benefit.

I will end this here, no sense in a squabble.

Lee

Is SCGaynor an auction house, or an eBay seller? Does his association with Lelands extend to his own eBay account, which by his admittance, is shortly coming to an end (Ibelieve this was covered in another thread)?

I don't care about board politics. I love seeing those scans. Thanks, Andrew.

Hi Dan

I don't own Lelands, nor am I an employee. Scgaynor now operates as a contractor doing the operations for Lelands. Keith Vari, Josh Evans and Mike Heffner do the main acquisitions and we take care of everything behind the scenes (descriptions, scans, shipping, collections, customer service, etc).

By letting the New York crew work on acquisitions and the Mass crew work on operations, it makes for a more efficient operation.

Scott
