how you could tell squat with such rotten scans.

There are occasionally sellers who sell very rare cards that are ungraded and in really nice shape. They are rare, however. My take on high grade stuff from the 19th century is this: If the seller is a card person and the card is high grade and the card is not encapsulated by one of the major services, I would stay away unless the seller is a very reputable dealer with whom you or members of this board have had significant past dealings.

and both on OJ cards..........I'd agree that the scan doesn't really do the card justice and the back scan MIGHT lead me to believe it's been rebacked but it's just too hard to tell. I'd trust his assessment if you email him and get an answer and I'd feel if he offered a money-back guarantee, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase and send back if necessary.........JMO.......

Interesting bidding on this sellers cards. Several high bids by amazing-savings1 and amazing-savings2 who are companies with thousands of transactions but no buys.
