Anyone win anything? There were some "what Recession?" prices last night, the ultra-high grade t206's for example.

Are you kidding me!!!! Mullin a psa 10 pop 1 common goes for $47,853 X 1.175=$56,227!!!

Is that Leon bidding in there. Looks like a slugfest between Leon and Don Louchios.

You guys that think high grade vintage is under some price pressure ought to look at these bids.

I would just modify that last sentence to read:

You guys that think vintage is under some price pressure ought to look at these bids.

Holy mackeral--3 psa 9 HOFers go for over $57,000 apiece--now I know its Leon in there.

Bobby Wallace(pop 2), Hugh Jennings portrait(pop 1), Frank Chace yellow background(pop 1) all go for 57,000 plus apiece.

I am flabbergasted.

nice prices.....I would have figured the Group of Jim C would have been the winner on those high grades...I prefer true rarity..

Not a huge deal, Jim, but I think the bids posted on the Web site include the buyer's penalty. So the selling price of the PSA 10 Mullin is $47,853, not $56,227.

Mentioned only for the sake of accuracy.

Thanks Rob--did not realize that--well 47-48,000 still a pretty big price for these cards. Its not a registry battle either--noone will catch Louchios.

I have a pretty good guess on who won--I will guess its the health care ceo with the museum north of Los Angeles--whose name escapes me. Someone on LTS would probably know him.

Paying ~$47k for high grade t206, I rather pay $5k more to get the Plank (even it is trimmed). However, I would not pay $52k for that Plank, i think it sold for 30k on eBay last time.

Overall prices did not reflect the tough economic times we are all facing. The prices displayed now include the buyer's premium.

I agree... bids were as though our economy is doing great.

I placed a high bid early and then was thinking I'd be sorry when I win.

I was outbid at the last moment... happy i was, but also shocked!

I see a big difference in mid-level, PSA 5 HOF on the T206 end. I was able to buy a few recently and felt I got a good deal when I saw the quality of the card.

Does anyone know if any Goodwin Round Albums have gone up for sale, because I haven't seen any?

Thanks, Matt

Jeff:

I would've thought that Delehanty cabinet had your name written all over it and would've bet that you won it. Whoever picked it up really got a gem. So, if it wasn't Jeff, would the winning bidder care to reveal himself (or herself)?

Great auction and strong prices. I won a few small lots. Was out bid on the cabinet cards of Delehanty/Flint/Commy. All were good deals I thought....

Pretty strong prices on some items, however, whomever purchased the Police-Gazette Cabinet of Jocko Fields got it for a great price.
