Default What is the reason to grade this?

Just curious what the reason would be to get this slabbed? And I am sure glad, as he points out, it doesn't say Reprint on it. I was worried it might have been real...

Default 3 out of 5?

Hey, at least it got 3 out of 5. Does that make it a VG-NM?

Hey, hey!!! The listing says that "this card shows reprint nowhere on the card". That's a pretty keen observation, and a great selling point.

Think of all the pesky negotiating we could do away with if the value of every card was simply printed on the back....

Perhaps in cases like this there was a bulk deal of, for example, 10% off 20 cards, the collector had only 17 worth grading but added three more to get the deal.

The first time I saw a 1996 Topps Dan Marino base card graded, I thought that could be the only reason to send in that card.

I guess when he is not selling $700 T207's, he is probably teaching astro-physics at Harvard.

I have the same exact card. Maybe I need to grade mine so I can sell it as only 1 of 2 graded. Honesty though, the only reason for grading a reprint would be to just fill in the empty space in a rare collection. Kinda like the graded reprints of the T206 Wagners. I can't see any other reason for it unless it was a type of promotion giveaway from the grading service just to show their holders.

Man aquires card. Man submits card. Card returns entombed in plastic. Card has aquired value. Man lists card on eBay. Card sells. Man is happy. Man repeats process.

Sounds like any every slabbing process to me

Maybe he is trying to leaving some room for potential bidders to think it's real? Just seems sort of crazy to grade reprints.
