Default T206 Print Marks Card Backs

I didn't want to hi-jack the other thread. I have picked up a few Sweet Caporal and Piedmonts with print marks on the back (alignment marks, cross hairs, factory stamps 30). I have never seen any such anomalies with any other brand backs. Do they exist? Or does it just seem to be with the two brands mentioned (SC,Pied), if some are out there, please show some.... Thanks

Hi Ralph

I have only seen them on Piedmont & Sweet Caporals myself, although I did see an American Beauty once with interesting line on the back. Maybe the board member who owns it will see this thread and post it.

Thanks for the replies. It is interesting you would think they would be found on all cards. Seeing as the same process was used to print them all, and they play a key part when printing the cards. Mrvster would love to see the AB when you get a chance.

Default Crops

Ralph,

I would assume that all sheets had these lines, just show up more on sweet cap and piedy cause they are the most common....conditions had to be right to get a crop to show(miscut enough to show mark)

i am hunting with you....Jantz i'm sure will be also!!i have sweet cap, piedy, polar bear, and ab so far....would love epdg, tolstoi, ect...

they are like treasure hunting

PEACE
