Welcome aboard!

My entire mom's side of the family are all from Syracuse. My grandpa, grandma, aunt, uncle, other aunt, and other uncle all attended Syracuse back in the '40s/50s. My uncle was the team doctor for the football team when Jim Brown played there. Been to Syracuse a couple times in my lifetime, and my cousins have a lake house in Skaneatles, and own a very successful home remodeling/construction company in Syracuse.

Nope, lol..........never had much interest in football cards or SU Memorabilia to be honest🤷*♂️ Recently found an old Kren's Special bat of my Grandfather's that was made here in Syracuse and a couple of his baseball mitts and it has rekindled my desire to start collecting again. He would of been 100 this year but I lost him 3 years ago and finding these items of his means a lot. Thanks for the welcome guys!!

Default Hi

Welcome. This is the place to be for pre-war baseball collecting. Do you care to say something about the Kren in your handle? Is that a focus of your collection?

Welcome to the board. I have been to Syracuse many times in my life. The annual trip each October to the Super DIRT Week auto race at the Syracuse Mile was an annual pilgrimage for me for 30 years until the state repurposed the racetrack following the 2015 event.
