Definitely some bargains tonight. I picked up several of the t206s and diamond stars at great prices including a t206 Evers for $10. I'd definitely recommend anyone in the area to stop by in the future. One of the highlights of the night for me though was talking to a father and teenage son team about the board and the son's interest in tobacco cards.

Thanks guys. I know there's a decent population of N54 guys within a reasonable drive of the auction. Maybe T206 HOF'ers for $10 will motivate them!

Default PAL card show Parsippany NJ 1st Tuesday monthly

Scott is doing a great job trying to build this auction from scratch, any support the Net54 community can offer will go a long way. There are some great deals to be had, the auction takes not much more than an hour, and there is a decent amount of vintage cards and merchandise at the show as well. I will continue to support Scott by bidding on items as well as consigning. Hope to see you there !

A little bit about the show...

The monthly Tuesday night Parsippany P.A.L. sports card show has
SGC as well as REA Auctions set up on a regular basis. CAS Authentication is on site and available to authenticate autographs while you wait. SGC is offering free drop off, discounted specials as well as a guaranteed 30 day turnaround on your order (drop off in September pick up in October). We currently average 32-36 tables per show of that roughly half of our dealers offer nice vintage material .Admission is only$1. We give away two $20 door prizes each month at 5pm and 6pm . If your interested in dealer tables send me a message. Our website has an updated dealer list with contact information as well as show information. www.palcardshow.com

A brief history of the show: It started in 1981 and through the sports card boom of the 80's grew into a weekly Tuesday night show. At it's peak the show had 70+ tables (with a waiting list a mile long) and drew crowds of 600-800 people regularly for many years. Mike Gordon of Gordon Sports was the owner for many, many years. Mike has since passed and the show stopped running in the summer of 2015.

It's a great location right off of Rt.46/Rt.287/and Rt.80. Parsippany NJ P.A.L. 33 Baldwin Road. If your in the area please stop by and check it out !

Thank You very much for all of the Net54 support !

Thanks for the shout outs guys. Come to today's live auction at the Parsippany PAL show! See what you've been missing. T206 HOF'ers for $10, yup, it happened.

Well we had a strong sale in July (much to my surprise) but took a step backwards in August. Wasn't sure what today would bring with some dire (with apologies to Texas) weather predictions. Well I really feel like we turned the corner today. Strong sale, strong prices and a good time had by all. Still some bargains, but nothing that wasn't balanced out by a strong sale on another card. My regular N54 guys were there and buying and I appreciate you enormously. It was 88 lots of a good time for all tonight, with door prizes! Now I just need stuff for November! Anyone???

I'm sure most of you are aware how difficult it is to start ANY venture, but even harder to get one going where you have to depend on others for your inventory. Obviously I've been salting each auction heavily from my own inventory (which is why my ebay store looks like a ghost town, >sigh<), but without consignors, and GOOD consignors behind you, you just don't have an auction. Yet getting good prices right out of the gate is nearly impossible. So you need to find people who have a little faith in you. I hate to name names of people who haven't told me I could do so, so another blanket thank-you to those N54 members who have rolled the dice and consigned with me. 5 auctions in and hopefully we can keep building on the momentum.

I gave Scott some stuff for October because I like what he's trying to build along with his partner Dave and the show promoter Joe. Hopefully the buyers at the show like some of the items. These are some good folks trying to keep the hobby thriving.

Thanks Glyn!

He indeed gave me some good pre-war stuff, all graded including a T206 Tolstoi common some E126's (which are brutally tough cards to find) and more. As we move forward bigger and better things will be in store for the company and I won't forget those who helped along the way!!!
