Default Senators Banner Info

I picked this up almost 2 years ago knowing very little about it. Falls into the bought it because it looked good category.

The auction link is below, but the basics from H+S is that is was hung at Yankee Stadium, and the reverse is signed by Mike Epstein.

Measures about 76 x 24in but I dont know if it was modified for framing.

Is there anyway to actually confirm it is from the stadium? And what years? And location?

It is certainly well made and has plenty of age and wear. I added my own pictures because it looks better in person than on the website and included some close ups.

Thanks for any help.

There's a good possibility that it was originally larger, and was cut down (or folded) to fit the frame. I suspect you could tell a lot more by removing it from the frame and examining it.

Here is a Yankee Stadium "Philadelphia" example with very similar style and lettering. Yours could have been from a similar time frame... perhaps yours is a bit earlier than this Heritage example. Link below...

Also, if you look towards the top of the Heritage Listing, you'll see other teams' flags from that series. Only the White Sox has the team name, versus the City name (presumably because there are 2 Chicago Teams).

My “Giants” and “san Francisco” flags both have a rectangular panel sewn in the middle. I think that’s what you have.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I probably do need to pull it from the frame if I want more concrete answers.

Do you know the age of your flags Rob?

Mine are much more recent. GIANTS is from 2012; SF is from the 1990's.
