Default Scan Request: 1924 WG7 Walter Mails (Red Backs)

Posted By: Rhett Yeakley

I am currently in the process of cataloguing the minor to major differences between the Blue Back version and Red back version of this set. I currently have scans of all blue backs and a handful of the red backs. I am in need of scans of Red Back cards Only. If you have a large group or just one or two let me know, I would like to get every difference there is at least catalogued. I did something similar a few years back, but could never find images of all the blue backs, and subsequently lost the scans I had of all the red borders I had inmages of.

Let me know what you have, you can post them here or email them to me, whichever you prefer (rhettyeakley@netzero.com) but I think it would be fun to see a virtual set here on this thread.

Anyways here are two cards from the set, blue first followed by red

Mostil:

O'Neil:

Thanks in advance, if anyone would like a scan of the blue to go with their red I will post scans of them...

Johnson, doesn't appear to have any changes made between the two versions, here is the blue back.

Leon, didn't you have another that you were selling a while back, Oeschger (I may have been mistaken though).

Looks like they initially misspelled Oeschger's name and corrected it in the red printing, and they cropped the top of the photo a bit tighter.

Blue "Oescheger"

Just wanted to bump this before it went off to page 2.

I have recieved scans of the following (Red Backed) cards::
Pat Duncan
Lewis Fonseca
Walter Johnson
Johnny Mostil
Steve O'Neil
Joe Oeschger
Geo. Uhle

so, I still need scans of everyone not listed above.

Also, I got around to scanning my blue box (the red backs came in a red box), it isn't quite as beat up as the scans makes it look, but here are images of each panel...

I really appreciate any help anyone can provide,
-Rhett
