Default Babe Ruth forgeries - a game almost no one feels comfortable playing

OVER/UNDER - 66% of Babe Ruth signatures are forgeries

As Richard would say - let's play

Is 65.7% still under, or are we rounding? I would say that 80% + of autographs for sale in the past decade are forgeries. I'm not sure how that stacks up in relationship to the universe of signed items.

What was the quote? Something like " It's harder to find a ball that Babe hasn't signed."?

I agree - I think this is quite a different animal than Mantles.

I always thought that quote was used for Bob Feller.

With Feller I'm going to say "under", and that's with an over/under of 2

Default Scott Malack Lee Trythall Babe Ruth Forgeries

The number is way up there for sure.

What is also certain, is Scott Malack and Lee Trythall of Coach's Corner Auctions have sold more Babe Ruth forgeries than anyone else by far.

This should not be a conditional thread .
CC should count just as much as any other criminal.
Just my two cents, your thread Scott.

From what I have seen of ruth autos:

Babe Ruth SS balls I would take over for fakes..

Babe Ruth team balls at least ones with psa or jsa I would take under.

Ruth checks I would go way under as this seems to me to be the best option to buy a real Ruth auto.

As far as the cuts, I would never even think of buying one. From what I have seen. Just my opinion.

Count CC - I don't care. The thoughts have all been very interesting. I really enjoy discussing Babe Ruth autographs; moreso, authentic ones.
