My art theory professor said I was a natural theorist, because, unlike most of his other students, I was able to move beyond whether or not I liked the artwork in question.
For example, I'm no Madonna fan, but she clearly belongs in the Hall of Fame. Though I would change the name of the Hall to the Popular (Pop) Music Hall of Fame, or Popular Rock Hall of Fame, because they are clearly dealing with commercially successful and popular bands. There is lots of great music outside of the Top 40, but that's not what this museum is about. It's a commercial endever, like a museum park. Which is fine, I guess.
